You want to be a Voice Actor?
Voice acting is a skill developed over time. You don’t need to create “character” voices to be a voice actor, but you do need a certain level of skill and determination. At Saintiny Voices, we don’t have all the answers, but we’ve attached the “Voice Over Exam” by Peter K. O’Connell for you to review and study. Determine if this is something you want to pursue, study diligently, and stay encouraged. Good luck!

Our voice actors are independent contractors with extensive experience in on-screen and off-Broadway productions. You, do not need that level of experience however, we are strict about how we conduct ourselves, with clients, with each other and the public. Where do people encounter voice-overs?
Many people are unaware of voice-over acting as a performing art. It’s a lesser-known field where our skills find diverse applications. Here are just 5 different areas that voice over talents are used however, there is much more..
1. Commercials
While watching television, our shows are interrupted, we encounter the announcer attempting to convince, convey or provide information on products and services for an organization, company or non-profit.
2. Animations
Remember when we were young, and even as adults, we loved to immerse ourselves in cartoons, enjoying their exaggerated antics and getting lost in the words of voice-over actors.
3. Emcee
(MC) Master or Mistress of Ceremony creates positive energy by keeping the audience engaged and making sure the event runs on time and within the time constraints.
- M – Manages the flow of the event.
- A – Announces and introduces speakers or event activities.
- S – Sets the tone for the evening.
- T – Transitions smoothly through different event segments.
- E – Engages the audience members through interaction.
- R – Resourceful, handles unexpected issues smoothly and efficiently.
